I love the simple contrast of bold stripes in a space. if you’re feeling brave, paint the stripes right on the wall or the floor. For the same graphic effect but on a smaller scale, bring in a rug or a piece of artwork like in the photos below.

I’m thinking that square black and white canvas would look absolutely perfect in my own living room. Definitely one that would be so simple to D.I.Y, maybe this week?
